“Strange, sinister and abandoned, our world as an unknown place, light-years away.” Christian Stangls photographies focus on nightmarish scenes in urban areas, forests and under the microscope.
He is constantly looking for the dark side of motifs, artificial as well as organic. The dialogue between shadow and light is his main inspiration for making pictures. Its not always a harmonic conversation between these two sides.
Stangl wants to capture as much detail as possible in the picture. Thats the reason why he creates photographies with very high resolutions. He spends the nights not only for taking the photos but also with the merging and stitching of multiple photos to one final big picture.
His works are shown on large format prints at exhibitions, in galleries, offices or private places.
The pictures are produced in highest quality. (Pigment-print or C-print, mounted to dibond and plexiglass)
